If you subscribe to Supplier Tracker, do you have to use On-Demand or Expense Analysis Services?
No. Every organizations’ needs are different. Some have tremendous internal staff that can benefit from the Supplier Tracker tool – but have minimal-to- zero need for these additional services.
What should be stored in Supplier Tracker?
Supplier Tracker is a single-point, secure repository that proactively tracks your various supplier documents. Examples of documents include contracts, price tariffs, W9 forms, certificates of insurance, professional certifications, and procurement-related documents (Requests for Quotes/Bids, negotiation notes). While Catalyst is confident in the security of the data stored, we do NOT recommend storing documents containing social security numbers, patient-specific medical data, banking data, or credit card data.
What is Supplier Tracker’s security level?
The Supplier Tracker system runs on a secure website and is hosted from a multi-firewall (5) server. Data stored is backed up in triplicate weekly to allow system restoration if necessary. All log-ins are secured with a password with password recovery requiring multiple steps including security question responses.
Where do the price benchmarks come from in Supplier Tracker?
The pricing benchmarks in Supplier Tracker come from a variety of sources, including sourcing projects by Catalyst, supplier-provided, and system averages. These are all ACTUAL marketplace numbers that have been confirmed by Catalyst from reputable, solvent suppliers. We do advise that benchmarks are independent data points. While we try our best to customize the data to being as useful as possible, variable factors such as geography, account size, labor type, etc. can impact the accuracy of the data to your specific situation.
How can Catalyst obtain supplier documents on our behalf?
Prior to contacting any supplier, Catalyst will secure a Letter of Agency (see Sourcing Templates tab in portal) to secure a Letter of Agency from your organization. The document grants Catalyst the ability to request documents, usage reports, invoices, and solicit quotes. It does NOT authorize Catalyst to purchase, agree to purchase, or commit funds in any way.
